Here are some photos from my first visit to Las Vegas with my ladies. It was definitely a trip to remember. We had lots of fun, dancing, drinking, eating and McDonald’s chicken nuggets! It is unbelievable how cheap the food is at their local fast food restaurants like McDonald’s and Jack in the Box. Aside from the “junk food,” the fine dining in Las Vegas isn’t something to miss. Every 5-star hotel/resort have excellent restaurants of different types of cuisines. Like every tourist, we had to try the Cheesecake Factory and Serendipity desserts inside the Caesars Palace.
The nightly entertainment at the hottest nightclubs were extremely live and full of good looking guys and gals. Gals especially! The clubs I loved and would definitely return to are Marquee inside the Cosmopolitan, Tao inside the Venetian and XS, but not so much for Surrender inside the Wynn hotel. Aside from that entertainment, the shows are not to be missed in Las Vegas like the Cirque du Soliel shows (O, Love by the Beatles, Zumanity, KA, and Mystere), magic shows (i.e. David Copperfield, Penn & Teller and Criss Angel), broadway shows (i.e. Jersey Boys), musicals (i.e. The Lion King), showgirls (i.e. Jubilee), concerts (i.e. Celine Dion), and other shows like La Reve are all amazing. I suggest booking your tickets ahead of time to avoid the rush, ticket sellouts and lineups.
As for shopping, shopping is everywhere! You will find shopping strips and malls inside some of the largest well-known hotels like the Caesars Palace, Wynn & Encore, Planet Hollywood, and the Bellagio. There is also the Fashion Show Mall down the strip which carries more affordable boutiques and shops like Forever 21 and Zara.
All in all, the Las Vegas strip alone is stunning with all of its beautiful modern architectures and buildings. I stayed at the Venetian and Caesars Palace, they were both amazing hotels and would definitely stay with them again. Then I stayed at the Bellagio the second time I visited Las Vegas and did not like it very much as it is for a much older crowd. Casinos incorporated in every single hotel/resort on the strip makes it so hard for most people to leave Las Vegas and go home empty handed. Lucky for me, I don’t know how to gamble and I don’t intend to learn.
If you want to get away from the gambling and partying scene for a few days, take a flight out to Los Angeles or San Francisco. I was stoked when I booked my one way flight to Los Angeles for only $78!!! For my adventures and what to do in Los Angeles, see my posts Star Struck in Hollywood and Explore Santa Monica, The Local Way for more tips and info.
The next month I re-visit Las Vegas, I would like to go to a pool party and explore the Grand Canyon by helicopter. Hence, stay tuned for an updated post to Las Vegas!
