Dear Travel Junkies:
In my recent post to Santa Monica, earlier that day I made a quick visit to the two famous destinations of Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Home to Paramount Pictures, famous landmarks, A-list celebrities and the industry that brings dreams to reality for celebrities like Jessica Alba and Leonardo DiCaprio. Due to Hollywood’s fame and cultural identity as the historical center of movie studios and movie stars. the word Hollywood is most commonly used and known for American cinema. Hollywood is located in the northwest of downtown Los Angeles and it comprises numerous of things to do and places to see so you’ll never get bored.
What to do in Hollywood:
(Most of what is listed below are in the same area on Hollywood Blvd and Highland Ave so park your car in the Hollywood and Highland Center underground parking lot or nearby.)

Dolby Theatre Formerly known as the Kodak Theatre. It is an entertainment theatre located in the Hollywood and Highland shopping mall and entertainment complex on Hollywood Blvd. It is home to annual academy awards ceremonies like the Oscars.
El Capitan Theatre Formerly known as Hollywood Masonic Temple, owned and operated by Walt Disney Company. It serves as a venue for many of the Walt Disney Studios’ film premieres. ABC’s late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! originates from a studio in the building so buy your tickets and see him live =)

It has nearly everything to keep you busy and entertained including name brand retailers and boutiques, restaurants, nightclubs, a movie theatre, and a bowling alley. The center also includes television broadcast facilities like On Air with Ryan Seacrest. If you’re lucky, you might get yourself involved and dancing with the flash mob as seen on YouTube. Lastly, you will be able to see the notable Hollywood sign on the Santa Monica Mountains on the top floor of the complex.

Beverly Hills Shopping on Rodeo Drive in the affluent city of Beverly Hills doesn’t make economical sense to most people but to me, it’s the opposite. One day when I’m earning a six-digit salary, I will join those Stepford housewives on their shopping spree. If you love the good life of luxury and designer labels, you’ll love Rodeo Drive & Via Rodeo which includes Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Salvatore Ferragamo, Hermes, Cartier, and more.
