Across the Sydney Harbour Bridge from The Rocks and a block away from Milsons Point metro station is the city’s much loved amusement park, Luna Park. Entry is free! Single ride tickets are $10 AUD each and unlimited day passes are from $20-$50 depending on your height and time of the season. I find the park very small and it only had 21 rides suitable for children, not so much for adults. It wasn’t anything comparable to Canada’s Wonderland or Six Flags, but it is a great place for families with small children. However, the park had magnificent view of the Sydney Harbour, especially the Sydney Harbour Bridge so bring your camera and capture beautiful snapshots under the famous bridge. On another note, if you have a fear of clowns then I suggest you stay away from the park. The entrance to Luna Park alone was quite freaky with a huge clown face. If you can, try and stay until the evening as it is much more beautiful when the entire park lights up at night.
All in all, it is definitely something you can do once if you’re old like me. But if you have a family, it is a great place to take your kids out and have them go nuts.
